MAC-Using Gamemakers Rejoice! UDK Now Compatible With MAC OS X

Sep 21, 2011 01:13 AM

Epic Games announced today that the free version of Unreal Engine 3, Unreal Development Kit or UDK, is now compatible with Mac OS X. Apple users will now have access to arguably the most powerful piece of free game development software available in almost exactly the same way as their PC counterparts, minus some small tweaks.

This also means that Mac-using gamers who don't make their own games will now be able to play the UDK-created works of their peers. This opens up a giant new user base for budding game designers and gives game-starved Mac users a whole new crop of stuff to play.
